Attractions in Agra Agra Fort Built
alongside the river Yamuna, it stretches upto 2.5 kms. It is an impressive
red stone fort built by Akbar beween 1565-1573 A.D. It houses the beautiful
Pearl Mosque, Diwan-i-khas, Diwan-i-aam , Jahangir Mahal and Moti Masjid.
This massive building boasts of Mughal architecture.
Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal, the one and only splendour of its kind. Dedicated to the eternal
love between emperor Shah Jahan and Empress Mumtaz, it is counted as the
most romantic monument in India. The unique Mughal style combines elements
of Persian, Central Asian and Islamic architecture.
Fatehpur-Sikri Situated
37 kms from Agra, it is an important tourist destination which is not to be
missed. It is well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India. It is

Itmad-ud's-Daulah Tomb
This beautiful tomb is situated on the banks of river Yamuna and is named
'Baby Taj'. This mausoleum houses the body of Mirza Ghiyas Beg, the father
of Mughal empress Noor Jahan. It is the first tomb in India made entirely in
white marble.
