Introduction

Palace was built by Kacchwaha ruler of Amber Sawai Jami Singh in early 18th
century. Confined by walls, this royal residence of Rajputs occupies
one-seventh of the walled city and depicts a fine blend of Mughal and Indian

Within The Palace Chandra Mahal
Located in the north west of the palace, it is seven storeyed and encircled
by high towers and buildings. Specific names are given to the different
parts of tha mahal like Sukh Niwas, Ranga- Mandir, Pitam-Niwas, Chabi-Niwas,
Shri-Niwas, Mukut Mandir etc.
Mubarak Mahal
This unique structures will capture your heart the moment you enter city
palace. A combination of Mughal and European architecture, the Mahal was
completed during the reign of Sawai Madho Singh II.
Govindji Temple
Located in the heart of Chandra Mahal and Badal Mahal, this temple exhibits
a prime example of technology advancement. A fine and catchy set up
fountains attracts the attention of the tourist.
Museum
The City Palace exhibits a museum, that showcases some of the royal
clothings of the dashing prince Sawai Madho Singh and also preserved is the
fine armoury that was used in 15th century.
