Introduction
Sprawling over an area of 600 sq km in the Himalayan foothills, Corbett
National Park is a premier wildlife sanctuary of India. The first wildlife
reserve of India, this park offers a rich combination of rich flora and
fauna. Leaving tigers which are the core attraction of the park, you will
see here elephant , leopard, various species of birds, crocodiles and
snakes. Plus, you will have world famous adventure sites luring the tourists
from all over the world to jump in real life adventure. Overflowing with
natural splendors, Corbett National Park was established in August 1936 and
included among the tiger reserves in 1973.

Animal in the park
The main attraction of the park is tiger. It has arond 150 tigers. Diverse
typography has provided best habitats to around 50 species of mammals
including chital, elephant, sambar, leopard panther, sloth bear, Himalayan
black bear etc.
Birds in the park
The park has 600 bird species including darter, little green heron, pond
heron, crested hawk eagle, booted hawk eagle, cinerous vulture, crested
serpent eagle, kestrel, black partridge, kaleej pheasant, red junglefowl
etc.
Reptile in the park
The area of Ramganga river in the park is the ideal place to enjoy the
views of reptiles like Indian marsh crocodile, gharial, king cobra, common
krait, cobra, russels viper, python and monitor lizard, turtle and sal
forest tortoise.
Flora in the park
Around 75% area of the park is covered with evergreen sal and its associate
trees. Confirmed report says the park has 110 species of trees, 51 species
of shrubs, 27 species of climbers and 33 species of bamboo and grass.
Activities
The park has a very diverse kind of topography offering you an ideal place
activities like adventure sports, photography and angling. Jeep safari and
Jeep safari are two most exciting way to conquer this animal world. The park
is also the research zone for wildlife scholars. ,
Pantnagar Airport 50 km away is the nearest airport
offering domestic air services to Delhi and other prominent cities of
India. Delhi (300 km) is the closest international airport.
Railway Station :
Ramnagar Railway Station is the closest railway
station and overnight trains are available from Delhi and Varanasi. You
will take road transport options to reach the park.
Bus Station :
Ramnagar Bus Stand is the main head to reach by road.
It offers bus to the main gate of the park at Dhikala. Ramnagar is
extensively connected by road from the cities like Delhi, Lucknow,
Kanpur, Muraddabad and other important cities of Uttar Pradesh and
Uttranchal.
Local :
Buses from Ramnagar are the prime local means to reach
the park. Some other transportation modes are private coaches, car and
taxi.

The original house of Jim Corbett has been turned into a Visitor Center and

every year to pay the reverence. Visit the temple in the evening and
