developed on the lines of famous Palace On wheels. It was started as a joint
effort between Tourist Corporation of Gujarat Limited and Indian railways
during 1994-95. This blue color train has 13 coaches in all, that are well
equipped with five star facilities. All of these coaches represent the
cultural legacy of the region it passes through.
These coaches have neat and clean cabins, comfortable and colorfully
decorated with attached baths and showers. To provide you Indian,
Continental, Chinese as well as Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine, a
restaurant car is attached with the train. A well stocked bar with Indian
and international brands of wine is available at your disposal. A rich
library with books on diverse subjects, journals, magazines and newspapers
is also availed for book lovers. You will really enjoy a seven-day journey
on this luxury train.
Royal Orient, one of the most lavish, luxurious and prestigious trains in
the world, was developed on the lines of famous Palace On wheels. It was
started as a joint effort between Tourist Corporation of Gujarat Limited and
Indian railways during 1994-95. The coaches being used for Royal Orient
were, in fact, the replacement rake for the aging Palace on Wheels rolling
stock but this new replacement rake was rendered useless due to some
reasons. Gujarat Tourism and Indian Railways then decided to run it as Royal
Two restaurant cars are attached to Royal Orient, serving you delicious and
exotic traditional Gujarati, Rajasthani, Indian, Continental and Chinese
delicacies. The breakfast is served in the lounge or in the cabin. Menu of
the pantry includes vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian cuisine along with
hot and cold beverages. 'The Watering Hole' Bar is an added attraction and
well stocked with varieties of scotch, Indian malt whiskeys, liquors, rums,
wines and vodkas. Beer can also be served in the cabins or restaurant.
Royal Orient has a total of 14 fully air-conditioned saloons besides two
dining cars. At the end of each saloon a comfortable lounge is attached.
Passengers can relax, or enjoy music of their choice, or read journals and
magazines and interact with fellow passengers. Fitted with TV and VCR, this
lounge also provides you a beautiful view of countryside during daytime
travel. A rich library with books on diverse subjects, journals, magazines
and newspapers is also provided to you.

05.30 hrs. Departure 09.15 hrs
Visit Chittorgarh Fort and on board breakfast. Lunch at the hotel and
sightseeing in Udaipur.
Day 03 - Friday - Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Junagarh, Veraval
Sightseeing in Mehsana and Ahmedabad. Lunch at a hotel in Ahmedabad.
Sightseeing in Junagarh and Veraval.
Day 04 - Saturday - Sasangir, Ahmedpur, Mandvi
On board breakfast and safari ride in Gir Lion sanctuary. Visit Delwada.

Day 05 - Sunday - Palitana, Sarkhej
Visit Palitana and then, Sarkhej and here you visit Vishalla village.
Dinner at a hotel.
Day 06 - Monday - Udaipur
Breakfast on board the train. Visit Jain Temples at Ranakpur.
Day 07 - Tuesday - Jaipur
Sightseeing at Jaipur. An elephant ride up to Amber Fort. Dinner on board.
Day 08 - Wednesday - Delhi
Have the breakfast on board and reach Delhi Cantt. Railway station in the
morning. The tour ends here.
